Locs and Lazziness

ugghhhh...I have become so lazy when it comes to my hair. you can add "tender headed" to the list two. I don't know if its because my locs have grown and got thicker or if its just laziness. I can't even do my 2 braid braid out anymore. Its just hard to put braids in my thick a$$ hair lol. it also hurts, even when I don't braid tight, I can't wear any kind of style for more than a day because I feel like it "hurts" well I can just feel my hair being pulled and I don't like that feeling.... i don't know what it is. I may as well become a free former, but with over 130 locs that just wouldn't work.

To retwist or to not retwist......

That is the question lol. My last retwist was the week before Christmas. Then, I promised myself I would try to retwist every 2 weeks so it wouldn't be so much work when it's time to do so. But here we are at almost a month and I still don't feel like retwisting. Don't get me wrong I love a fresh retwist but can't stand the time an effort required lol.

Thinking about a little hair cut

I shouldn't even call it a hair cut, more so a trim. I have always battled with much looser hair in the front of my hair than the back. I recently trimmed a few of my ends in the middle because my ends were still straight and stringy. Ewwwwe, can't stand it lol. I'm thinking about doing the same in the front. I have about 2 inches of ends that just look like trash and I can't stand it. The back is where it's at! My hair is nicely curled and the ends are sorta circular and look amazing compared to the trashy front. I hope this little trim does the trick

Its been months since I retwisted my hair myself. I had gotten lazy and spoiled after my visits with the loctician. I decided last night to man up and give it a go. I washed my hair with terresentials mud wash (still love that), then began retesting the front only. I tried a few methods to keep the roots tight while drying. Clips work best and even though they are annoying, thats what I will be using. I didn't use any product, I just used water. I only did the front of my hair because the back is ok and won't be seen too much. My hope is that this will last me at least until next week (wedding to attend) I plan on keeping my hair in the little side ponytail all week and not playing in it too much, lol

Finally at age 27, I got properly fitted for a bra. Lol I couldn't take it anymore, all my bras were uncomfortable because they were just two big. I had a good two bras that fit, these were my pre children bras. During pregnancy, nursing, and such I went up to a 36c! I am no where there now:( I think they actually shrunk since having kids. Anyway its all good, because a cute properly fitting victorias secret bra can make even a tiny Tim like me feel "endowed" lol. So this pic is showing my excitement about the above and finishing my best retwist yet!

Loc'd or not?

I love how you really can't tell, lol. This is after spraying my hair with water and adding a little she butter mix..I tired for months not to use shea butter (afraid of build up) but my hair has been feeling so dry I had to try something. More on that later.....

Make me keep on with the locs. I've been having serious loose hair envy lately, damn you naptural85.... just kidding but seriously, I LoVe her Hair! Makes me wanna take down ny twist n forget about locs. But then reality sets in and I remember how much I hated detangling and styling my hair. I had a whole year to experiment with loose natural hair but I always just did twist. While I love the look of wash gos n twist outs, its just too much for me! When my "locs" can look like the above pics smile is on my heart. Lol

A new lip gloss, painted nails, and a braid out. You couldnt tell me nothing! Lol my baby locs are almost 2 months old. I have my good and bad days, mostly good :) braid outs have been my lifesaver

its time to retwist

It has been a month now! I thought I would be excited to retwist for the first time, but I don't feel like it. I suppose this isn't a good way to start this journey. What if I were a freeformer? I do enjoy washing my hair whenever I want and like the fullness, but I also appreciate a freshly twisted loc. What's a girl to do?
