JK's Bday party

will be this afternoon! I am so exhausted because I didnt get off work till 11pm last night. I got home and had to transfer pics to my computer from an external hard drive to put together slideshows and collages for my sons bday party. I didnt go to sleep until 2am smh lol. Anyways, kids are up at 7 so we are too . we have to head out and get party supplies and our christmas tree. This is gonna be a long day lol

Thanksgiving 2010!

We had a wonderful thanksgiving. My mom came to my house to help with dinner and my brothers came over to eat. After dinner, we went to my aunts house to hang out with my moms family. I have quite a few pics im gonna share, wish i would have taken more. But, it was hard to take pics as i was busy cooking lol here we go.

Blowout and Trim

I finally did a blow out a few days ago. I was watching innovativethinkin and blessedbyhem o youtube and was inspired to do two strand twist in blown-out hair. I didnt use a heat protectant because i didnt have one, but i properly conditioned. When I was all done with the blowout, my hair was a mess so i decided to trim it. This was my first time doing a full head trim. My hair instantly looked better. Next i put my two strand twist int. heres my hair post blow out and trim

Happy 1st Birthday JK

My son turned 1 year old today! Its hard to believe this time last year he was only hours old and toda hes walking, saying hi, doesnt drink a bottle, and just turing into a real kid! My how time flies! Ava and I baked him a cake (carrot) and decorated. He will have his party next weekend :)

but not according to Ava, lol. she looked at my hair and asked what was wrong with it. I had just taken my twist out to prepare for washing, but got lazy and walked around the house like this. I didnt like it at first but after playing in it, i thought it was wearable.

in other news, i have been working hard to learn my new keyboard lol. I have spent hours on youtube watching tutorials and watching people play. I do ok, but I am inpatient and want to learn a whole song right away. lol So far i can play the intro to coldplay clocks, happy birthday, a few seconds of coldplay the scientist, and i just learned about 10 seconds of Drakes find your love. I think I am gonna stick with learning Drakes song because its easy and sounds great. I cant really play using both hands yet, but so far drakes song seems the easiest to try.

Or should I say "keyboardist" lol. Just a pic of me and my m-audio keyboard. I spent about a good 2.5 hrs watching tutorials on songs. So far I can play happy birthday and the intro to coldplay clocks. I can only play using one hand which is a total drag. But, Im gonna keep at it and one day I will be playing all kinds of songs lol. I can't decide if I want to be really disciplined and watch basic tutorials so I can learn the keys and all or if I just want to learn songs.... the best would probably be to watch the basics first because all the song tutorials I seen people speak in "piano language" and its totally foreign to me.

Well...... I guess I will "play it by ear" lol
